Today is Chik-fil-A Appreciation Day. As I was
reading all the different news articles on Dan Cathy’s clarification on the company’s stand on
biblical marriage, I needed to remind myself that there are always two sides to every story. Both
sides “media outlets” took Mr. Cathy’s words and published them to their own advantage. Isn’t that what’s happened to this country?
Was there ever any doubt on how Mr. Cathy’s company’s “stand” would
have been on this?It’s amazing how both sides have used this as a “wedge” issue. Know your beliefs in all aspects…values, politics, religion…read the facts, and respect others beliefs…
that’s the freedom our country gave us. Hope to see you at Chick-fil-A!

We are turning into a divided America. The corporate owner and the workers interest are no longer tied to each other. While we are to be the “consumer” and buy each others goods, it is now that we are pulling against each other. The huge corporate interest has made themselves more profitable without using our small businesses and our workers. It is harder for working Americans to start a business and move up the economic ladder. The tax laws use to link us to each other; now the small business/worker is left to compete against the large corporations, foreign workers and foreign corporations.
Is it time in America to change tax laws and the import laws to level the playing fields of the world? Our values…family, religion, job and morals…need to move back to the forefront.

Come on everybody! Get out and vote! Let your voice be heard. The General Primary is next Tuesday, 7-31-12…SUPPORT YOUR COMMUNITY!

I’ve been watching the news about the protests in the Middle East and killing of American and Coalition soldiers supposedly about the film/movie ridiculing Muhammad. While they’ve had this Arab Spring going on in the Middle East, it seems as though it’s all about religious conservative Muslim groups finding a way to gain power and push the United States and one of the values we hold dear. They are not only trying to stop free speech in their country, but also free speech in America. So evidently these people do not want to be free; they want to be governed by their religious leaders.
While America is pushing harder and harder toward a global economy, we see now that the peoples of the world are not going to line up and fall in love with American ideas…as we think they should.
Our economy and our way of life have to become more reliant on America and Americans, if we are going to sustain American values.
